5:30 PM
Weather: Sunny, high of 30, gusty
Surrounding Conditions:
The ground was fairly soft and unsaturated. Little evidence of trash, though there was a grocery bag present. No serious signs of soil disturbance.
Stream Conditions:
The clarity of the water was very good; the stream bed was clearly visible. There were some small conglomerations of scuzzy bubbles on the surface that appeared to come from upstream at a consistent rate. Examples of the bubbles can be seen in the last two picture below. No other noticeable suspended objects or substances were observed.
Other Notes:
It was noted that the water level in the stream must have been at least an inch higher within the past several hours, based on the observation of a uniform watermark along the concrete surface of the weir and box culvert. See pictures for example.
Stream Gage Reading: 14 cm
