Sunday, March 16, 2014

Date: Sunday, March 16th, 2014
2:00 PM
Weather: 35°, Overcast skies, rain turning to snow

Surrounding Conditions:
Soil is not very saturated, however with the rain and snow that will be following later in the day the saturation will increase. Areas near the stream were more saturated.
The light rain that was falling will increase the saturation and with the snow predicted later in the day, the ground will receive a coating of snow.

Stream Conditions:
Stream Gage Reading = 16 cm
The turbidity of the stream was extremely minimal. Some leaves had clumped together but other than that there was no debris in the water. As precipitation increases the amount of flow will increase which could potentially increase turbidity as runoff becomes a factor
